Place Hashem Front and Center in your Daily Life!
Live "Neilah" Moments
“Neilah” of Yom Kippur is the apex, the highest point of the year in connecting to Hashem and feeling His immanent closeness to us. Ask yourself this question: would you like to feel and connect to that closeness, that awe, that light, that clarity, that awareness of being in Hashem’s loving Presence every single day? If you answered yes, watch this video.

Why do we Sin?

Examining in this clip the root of sin, of “missing the mark”. Why do we sin? Because, as the Ramchal explains in his sefer “Derech Eitz Chaim”, in that moment we have become unconscious. Unconscious of what? That Hashem is standing right beside us. As the Ramchal teaches: “If someone's consciousness is broad and stands on his heart, he would never sin at all."

Get Yourself Out of the Way!
An exercise that we can do at any moment to pull ourselves back to consciousness and be aware of the Truth that Hashem is right here, right now. Every time we do this and we get our “ego based” needs out of the way, we open up a channel for Hashem to work through us.
Teshuva: A Fight for Consciousness

We are in one of 3 states of consciousness at any given moment: we are either unconscious, self-conscious, or G-d conscious. The key to Teshuva, to sanity, to life balance, to correcting our character flaws, to peace of mind is to be able to flick that switch in real time in any given moment from being unconscious to being G-d conscious. Thus, real Teshuva is a fight for consciousness.
Get out of bed with Shiviti

So how do we do it? How do we flick that switch? The answer, according to the Shulchan Orech, our compendium of Jewish law, lies in the verse “Shivisi Hashem l’negdi tamid”. “Shivisi” is a mindset and is the key that unlocks the door to being constantly aware of Hashem’s loving presence. SHIVISI is the battle cry of the Jew in our fight to remain conscious.
Making that Shiviti Shift

In this clip I recount my personal journey with David Hamelech’s wisdom and how it saved me from my debilitating and destructive temper in real time!

BIO

Mrs. Devorah Yaffa Singer is an Emunah Coach and originator of The Lights of Emunah, on-line series, taking you on a “life-transforming journey toward a more real and tangible relationship with Hashem”. As described by one participant: “The destination of this journey is no less than traveling to the deepest part of your inner world and coming into close personal contact with your true self: your Godly soul.”
At the beginning of 2013, Devorah Yaffa launched the website G-d Direct Torah a “one-stop emunah hub”. In 2017, Devorah Yaffa envisioned and implemented a 10-year dream to create a day of learning entirely devoted to connecting more deeply with Hashem: EMUNAH DAYS 2018, 2019 and 2020 were hosted at the Aish Hatorah World Center in Jerusalem to sold out crowds. Hundreds of Jewish Women gathered together for a full day of learning and celebrating together their love for Hashem and their desire to make that relationship stronger and more real.
Devorah Yaffa’s vision in spreading the Lights of Emunah, G-dDirectTorah.com, and IY’H organizing more “Emunah Days” is to “build a community of Jewish women committed to developing a more personal and palpable relationship with HaKadosh Baruch Hu.”
Devorah Yaffa lives with her husband, children, and 96-year old parents in
Ma'ale Amos, Gush Etzion, Israel.
